The ABA Foundation Community Commitment Awards recognize banks for exceptional service and impact in their communities. The Supporting Military Families category honors programs that improve the quality of life for active-duty service members, former service members, veterans and their families. In 2026, the bank donated $50,000 to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors through its S&T Bank Draft Headquarters experience in Pittsburgh. Employees also volunteer with initiatives such as the Veterans Leadership Program Military Food Shares, Wreaths Across America, Cards for Heroes and Veterans Day events. The bank's commitment extends to military families through programs like the March of Dimes Military Baby Shower, which provides resources and essential items to families welcoming a new child. "This recognition reflects a commitment that reaches across our organization," said Susie Nicholson, chief human resources officer at S&T Bank. "Our veteran and military-connected employees bring their experiences and leadership to this work, while employees across S&T give their time and talents to support military families in our communities.
