DoorDash Labs is an independent team within DoorDash. We are working on building autonomous delivery robots from the ground-up and other automation solutions  as part of DoorDash’s core delivery platform. About the Role

In this role you will help build the next generation of robotic systems within DoorDash Labs from the ground up! You will work with an excellent engineering team to solve novel problems that will drastically change last mile logistics. We’re a team of people who live and breathe building cobots and complex electromechanical systems. We’re unfazed by challenges and new problems and strive to build world class solutions.

• Assemble, troubleshoot and test cutting edge mobile robotic systems
• Input into how these systems are designed and used
• Work with an excellent engineering team to solve problems no one has before
• Conduct system testing and assist with field testing
• Ship tangible product concepts that make a meaningful impact to a billion-dollar business

We’re excited about you because you have…

• 3+ years in autonomous vehicle or industrial automation industries
• Experience assembling and troubleshooting wire harnesses 
• PCB rework, SMD and through hole component soldering
• Bring up and troubleshooting of autonomous vehicle electrical systems
• Reading circuit schematics and harness drawings 
• Experience using EE bench test equipment 
• Amazing shop organization skills

Nice to Haves

• Familiar with CAN diagnostics and troubleshooting 
• Experience with electric vehicles (battery systems, motor controllers, HVDC)
• Familiarity with AV sensors including calibration, FW flashing and configuration 
• Experience with Linux/Terminal
• Jira ticketing 
• Experience modifying or creating assembly and test processes
• Fabrication skills such as welding, mill, lathe, CNC, laser cutting
• Mobile, industrial, combat robotics experience

Compensation

The location-specific base salary range for this position is listed below.  Compensation in other geographies may vary.

Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.  For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary is localized according to employee work location.  Please discuss your intended work location with your recruiter for more information.
