Requirements
  • A Master’s Degree and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential are required.
  • At least 2 years of previous experience with autism spectrum disorders, including at least 18 months of autism experience in an Applied Behavior Analysis setting, is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst is required.
  • An Indiana Behavior Analyst License is required.
  • The candidate must pass and maintain Critical Moments Training (CMT) Certification.
  • The candidate must pass and maintain CPR Certification.
  • The candidate must be at least 18 years old per licensure requirements.
  • A valid Indiana driver’s license and a driving record meeting Damar’s insurance eligibility requirements are required for positions requiring driving.
  • The candidate must be clear of felony convictions, substantiated neglect charges, and other disqualifying criminal convictions.
  • The candidate must successfully complete a pre-employment physical and favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening.
Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate competency through performance checklists in all clinical and administrative areas.
  • Provide 5% supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians on the assigned team.
  • Complete Registered Behavior Technician performance checklists as assigned.
  • Provide Registered Behavior Technician continuing education or competency assessments when required.
  • Meet with caregivers before or after regular hours when required.
  • Use materials, equipment, and staff efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage the assigned caseload and work assignments using effective time management.
  • Provide Applied Behavior Analysis program management to clients in clinic, home, school, and community settings.
  • Apply Applied Behavior Analysis principles and current research to make decisions.
  • Monitor assigned clients’ Applied Behavior Analysis programs and progress, adjusting treatment plans when progress is sufficient or insufficient.
  • Follow the Program Director’s direction regarding each client’s profile.
  • Review client assessments, treatment plans, behavior plans, and other protocols at least every 6 months and revise them as needed.
  • Participate in or oversee data collection and use data to improve outcomes, practices, and service delivery.
  • Provide immediate feedback to Applied Behavior Analysis therapists after observations and performance-checklist completion.
  • Remain available to Applied Behavior Analysis therapists for questions, concerns, and ideas regarding client programming or behavior intervention.
  • Maintain a caseload of 30 hours per week.
  • Maintain high authorization utilization for the assigned caseload.
  • Provide direct therapy to children in clinic, home, school, or community settings when required.
  • Respond appropriately to crises and assist others as necessary.
