Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Three or more years of industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Three or more years of experience using basic tools such as squares, clamps, fillet gauges, angle grinders, and conduit benders is required.
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code codes and comprehension of general electrical standards is required.
  • Three or more years of experience with applicable Quality Assurance Procedures is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • The ability to convert decimals to fractions and use conversion charts is required.
  • The ability to read a tape measure and technical prints is required.
  • The ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50 pounds or more is required.
  • The ability to stoop and bend is required.
  • The ability to sit, stand, and walk for more than four hours at a time is required.
  • Excellent color vision and eyesight are required.
  • Alignment with company core values is required.
Responsibilities
  • Consult blueprints, work orders, and schematics to safely construct specified structures, developing additional sketches when needed.
  • Bend, thread, and install conduit, including electrical metallic tubing, rigid galvanized steel, and rigid aluminum conduit.
  • Install electrical panels, breakers, and fuses, ensuring that electrical systems are properly grounded.
  • Install electrical wiring, outlets, switches, and junction boxes.
  • Install security systems, fire detection systems, and uninterruptible power supply systems.
  • Install fiber optic cable lines, communication lines, and power systems.
  • Install electrical components in new buildings, machinery, computers, and other equipment.
  • Install heating and cooling systems in industrial buildings.
  • Install cable tray and open wiring systems.
  • Install utility fixtures, outlets, terminal boards, switches, and wall boxes using hand tools.
  • Cut openings and drill holes for fixtures, outlet boxes, and fuse holders using electric drills and routers.
  • Measure, cut, and install frameworks supporting conduit, control panels, junction boxes, and other devices using hand tools.
  • Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Design and install conduit to fit space restrictions using one-line diagrams, National Electrical Code codes, and customer specifications.
  • Connect electrical systems to power lines to provide electricity to buildings.
  • Use mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic benders.
  • Use test meters, meggers, and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Consult with engineers, engineering technicians, line installers and repairers, industrial machinery mechanics, and maintenance workers during installations.
  • Notify the lead person or inspector when the product is ready for inspection.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and return tools to their proper locations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Industrial Electrical Certification is preferred.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Experience in RIE and PEC Building is preferred.
  • Experience in Electrical Racks is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge and comprehension of National Electrical Code and Underwriters Laboratories codes is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of conduit bending is preferred.

Nominations open for annual Excellence in Manufacturing Award. September 08, 2026 The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and MAGNET are seeking nominations for the Chamber's 10th annual Excellence in Manufacturing Award, which recognizes a Valley manufacturer for excellence in longevity, growth and product or workforce innovation and achievement. Eligible manufacturers must be located in Columbiana, Mahoning or Trumbull counties and be a member of the Regional Chamber or Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce. Companies are encouraged to self-nominate. Past recipients of the Excellence in Manufacturing Award are Boardman Molded Products, Haltec Corporation, Quality Switch, Panelmatic Building Solutions, Commercial Metal Forming, Schaefer Equipment, a Division of Wabtec Corporation, Millwood Inc., HYNES Industries and Redex Industries, maker of Udderly Smooth.
