Requirements
  • Proficiency in hydrological modeling tools such as HEC-RAS and SWMM.
  • Knowledge of the Clean Water Act.
  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
  • Five to seven years of water resources experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of stormwater design software and regulatory processes.
  • Proficiency in hydrological modeling, technical writing, and geographic information systems (GIS).
  • A PE license is preferred.
  • Ability to manage field data collection under challenging weather conditions and adhere strictly to regulatory deadlines.
  • Ability to work in field conditions and occasional irregular hours.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word; Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio are also used.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement solutions for stormwater and wastewater systems.
  • Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analysis using software tools.
  • Perform aquatic habitat assessments and surface-water and groundwater modeling.
  • Support compliance with water quality standards.
  • Manage field data collection under challenging weather conditions and adhere strictly to regulatory deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Environmental Scientists and Regulatory Advisors to integrate field data with regulatory requirements for water resource management plans.
