Requirements
Graduation from an accredited school.
Current Illinois Physician Assistant license.
Two years of experience, preferably in an infectious disease field.
Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients: measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A and B, influenza, and COVID-19.
Responsibilities
Work with a collaborating physician in an active inpatient and outpatient practice to deliver health care services to patients.
Consult with the collaborating physician by telecommunication or in person as needed; another physician will be available for consultation when the designated collaborating physician is absent.
Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic health problems.
Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic treatment and medications, including controlled substances, to the extent delegated.
Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
Order, interpret, and perform laboratory and radiology tests.
Perform other therapeutic or corrective measures as indicated.

Description
The Physician Assistant will work with the collaborating physician in an active inpatient practice to deliver health care services to our patients. The Physician Assistant shall consult with the collaborating physician by telecommunication or in person as needed. In the absence of the designated collaborating physician, another physician shall be available for consultation.
Location: Advocate Christ Medical Center, Oak Lawn, IL
Schedule: Full-Time (Monday-Friday) + One Weekend/Month
Specific Duties
