About the job

Requirements
  • Ability to translate customer conversations into concise problem statements that designers and engineers can act on.
  • Ability to conduct customer discovery, lead demonstrations, and answer questions from operators and finance leaders.
  • Strong product judgment to distinguish customer requests from underlying problems and determine product behavior.
  • Ability to learn complex systems, identify relationships and constraints, and simplify complexity.
  • Analytical and first-principles thinking, using customer evidence, data, and judgment to make decisions.
  • Attention to important details and edge cases while maintaining focus on customer outcomes.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineers, explain problems, reason through tradeoffs, and stay engaged through implementation and release.
Responsibilities
  • Own product direction for the finance and accounting core, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, costing, close, and financial reporting.
  • Set priorities across the finance and accounting product, build core customer capabilities, and identify future workflows and AI-native experiences.
  • Use customer, market, and competitive insight to refine the roadmap; design workflows in which people and AI agents work together to reduce manual work and improve decisions.
  • Work with controllers, accountants, CFOs, and operators to understand workflows, spreadsheet gaps, and trust issues.
  • Translate customer conversations into product specifications covering the problem, workflow, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
  • Break large capabilities into sequenced, shippable pieces for engineering implementation.
  • Test features before release against real customer scenarios and identify gaps.
  • Build realistic test cases and demo data, write release notes, and work with customers after launch to learn what is working and what should improve.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hands-on finance and accounting experience in manufacturing, or experience serving manufacturing clients through audit or advisory.
  • Understanding of manufacturing economics in accounting, including inventory valuation, standard and actual costing, bill of materials and routing roll-ups, purchase price variance, work in process, labor absorption, scrap, rework, and the general ledger.
  • Fluency in core accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, accruals, close, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with government contract accounting, including job costing, indirect rates, Defense Contract Audit Agency timekeeping, and Cost Accounting Standards.
  • Experience working in an early-stage environment where the product, process, and team were still being built.
  • Product management or adjacent experience in business-to-business software as a service, especially in enterprise resource planning, accounting, implementation, solutions consulting, or financial operations software.
  • Experience implementing, administering, or replacing systems such as NetSuite, Epicor, SAP Business One, Dynamics, or Acumatica.

About the company

Flow by Ironflow AI is an AI-native ERP built for defense technology, aerospace, energy, and other regulated manufacturing. It functions as a live decision system that merges structured production data, AI reasoning, and workflow automation to analyze in real time and automatically carry out actions, with AI agents interpreting user intent to achieve a requested outcome. Unlike traditional ERPs, Flow is designed for high-regulation industries with features like multi-level bills of materials, engineering change control, and secure ITAR/FedRAMP-compliant data hosting in the United States. The goal is to provide proactive insights and rapid iteration across production and supply chain, while progressively adding modules for finance, project accounting, and compliance to form an end-to-end, modular enterprise platform.

What makes Ironflow AI unique

  • Founded 2025 by Marine and factory operators, not generic SaaS founders.
  • Flow runs on AWS GovCloud and FedRAMP High, aligning with ITAR workflows.
  • AI agents automate BOMs, engineering changes, procurement, and production decisions.
