Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Physics or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
  • At least 18 graduate credit hours in a related area.
  • The ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Strong self-discipline and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Applicants must submit an application, curriculum vitae, letter of interest, teaching statement or philosophy, and contact information for three references.
  • Finalists must provide three current, original letters of recommendation to the Search Committee Chair.
  • Official transcripts must be received directly from each degree-granting institution before a letter of appointment is issued.
  • International transcripts must be translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator.
  • Selected candidates must pass a pre-employment background investigation and criminal history check.
Responsibilities
  • Teach face-to-face daytime lecture and laboratory courses in introductory algebra-based College Physics and calculus-based University Physics course sequences.
  • Create and maintain a safe environment for instruction and learning in a laboratory setting.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience teaching at the college level.
  • Experience working with students from different backgrounds and settings.
  • A completed Ph.D. in Physics or a related field.
