About the job
- An Associate's degree in Computer Aided Drafting or an equivalent qualification from a two-year college or technical school, plus a minimum of seven years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to use two-dimensional and three-dimensional computer-aided design software.
- Ability to create schematics, bills of material, specifications, customer documentation, and manufacturing documentation.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor.
- Proficiency in using Autodesk Vault.
- Specify components.
- Generate bills of materials.
- Document projects with as-built drawings as required.
- Provide technical support for fabrication and assembly as needed.
- Assist drafters in developing product designs.
- Prepare original designs, design adaptations, and design changes.
- Prepare sketches and complete detail and layout drawings.
- Create layouts and details of components.
- Prepare supporting documentation as needed.
- Train or coach employees.
- Promptly report issues to management.
- Add models and drawings to Vault.
- Add or modify material masters in SAP.
- Modify or revise drawings as required in AutoCAD and/or Inventor.
- Access engineering documentation on the network as specified by the supervisor.
- Design components for drilling equipment and other mechanical systems.
- Check design drawings to ensure all information is correct before release to the customer.
- Perform design drafting duties when required.
- Support the design and construction of mobile offshore drilling units under the direction of the drafting supervisor and in direct support of an engineer.
- Ability to use material requirements planning systems.
- Excellent communication with people at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Sembcorp Marine name was changed to Seatrium after merger of Keppel Offshore & Marine and Sembcorp Marine in 2023. In 2024 March, the ex-CEO of Sembcorp Marine Wong Weng Sun & ex-Senior General Manager of Jurong Shipyard Lee Fook Kang were charged in Singapore court for $44 million bribery of officials in Brazil from 2009 to 2014. Seatrium is also required to pay $57 million to Singapore authorities in a deferred prosecution agreement. Singapore Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau: "Wong and Lee each face five charges of conspiring to corruptly give gratification to Guilherme Esteves de Jesus ("GDJ"), for the benefit of persons in Brazil, as inducements or rewards to advance the business interests of the Company's subsidiaries in Brazil, punishable under Section 5(b)(i) read with Section 29(a) of the Prevention of Corruption Act." In 2023 June, Singapore Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) has launched an investigation into Seatrium for alleged corruption related to "Operation Car Wash" in Brazil (Name changed to Seatrium after merger of Keppel Offshore & Marine and Sembcorp Marine, proposed in April 2023). In 2022 December, Keppel Offshore & Marine had paid $65 million to Brazil authorities in a settlement agreement. Seatrium has completed its inaugural $400m fixed-rate notes issue, with the order book about 1.7 times covered, the company said.
Monday, 10 June 2024The project is expected to begin in June 2024, with commissioning expected by 2031. The contract is part of the five-year Framework Cooperation Agreement with TenneT announced by the GE Vernova-Seatrium consortium in March 2023. The agreement was signed to cover three projects, each valued at approximately EURO 2 billion: IJmuiden Ver Beta, IJmuiden Ver Gamma, and Nederwiek 2. The current contract is for Nederwiek 2, TenneT’s third project with this consortium. The contracts for IJmuiden Ver Beta and IJmuiden Ver Gamma were awarded to the consortium in March 2023.The HVDC system will support TenneT's sustainability goal of connecting 40 GW of offshore wind energy in the German and Dutch North Sea and will serve the Nederwiek 2 offshore wind farm, located approximately 95 kilometres off the coast of the Netherlands.“With the successful call-off of Nederwiek 2 from the Framework Cooperation Agreement with our Partners GE Vernova and Seatrium, we are now starting into the delivery of the third project with this consortium” said Dr. Johannes Kammer, Associate Director of Large Projects Offshore - 2GW, TenneT
The authorities in Singapore announced that they have completed their investigation into the alleged corruption and bribery offenses by the former Sembcorp Marine finding that there was sufficient evidence to mount a prosecution.
