What believers are saying

  • Materials training: Smithfield production associates receive training, while previous manufacturing experience and a diploma are preferred.
  • Process leadership: Washington's improvement engineer works with minimal supervision and coaches teams through Lean changes.
  • Field-team responsibility: Phoenix service technicians direct assigned first-level technicians while coordinating customer-site filter installation.

What critics are saying

  • Late production hours: the Smithfield second shift runs Monday through Thursday from mid-afternoon until two in the morning.
  • Experience requirement: the Washington improvement-engineering role asks for four to six years in manufacturing or industrial work.
  • Driving medical clearance: the Arizona field position requires a valid licence, clean driving record, and a DOT physical examination.

What makes American Air Filter International unique

  • Biological testing: the Clean AIR Center tests for influenza A and other viral threats for agricultural customers.
  • In-house validation: the Clean AIR Center tests new filters before release and maintains dedicated media, materials, and filter-testing laboratories.
  • Validation-compatible media: MEGAcel II uses membrane filtration compatible with polyalphaolefin testing in HVAC validation.
