About the job
- Experience or interest in computer operations.
- Ability to learn, solve problems, and maintain attention to detail.
- Proficiency with personal computers and familiarity with Microsoft products, including Microsoft Office, Active Directory, and Exchange.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers.
- Ability to prioritize help desk tickets based on their impact on users and the credit union.
- Ability to work occasional off-hours or weekends.
- Ability to view a terminal screen, operate a computer keyboard, perform moderate to heavy lifting, and sit or stand for prolonged periods.
- Ability to travel.
- Provide technical support, solutions, and assistance to credit union staff.
- Diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
- Manage, update, and respond to help desk tickets as skills and experience allow.
- Promptly prioritize help desk tickets and assign them to appropriate staff.
- Answer help desk phone calls.
- Resolve user issues involving printers, personal computers, and logins, escalating issues to network staff as needed.
- Create, modify, and remove user access to various systems.
- Set up new user equipment as needed.
- Document all work using help desk tickets, logs, and checklists.
- Update procedures as needed.
- Assist network staff as needed.
- Alert the supervisor to tickets or issues that may impact the security of credit union systems or users.
