About the job
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- An active TS-SCI CI clearance with polygraph is required, or the candidate must be eligible for polygraph placement at the site.
- Customer-service-related experience is preferred.
- Candidates must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor and meet the employer's attendance policy.
- Keyboarding skills and proficiency in a Windows environment on a personal computer are required.
- Candidates must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Candidates must be able to work effectively individually or as part of a team.
- Candidates must be able to perform multiple functional tasks.
- Candidates must be willing to cross-train for other job functions.
- Candidates must be capable of lifting up to 55 pounds.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work are required.
- Inspect the building and conduct routine periodic office walk-throughs.
- Manage the appearance of all common areas, manage vendors, and escort vendors as needed.
- Issue and record parking garage transponders and assist with maintaining and updating the space and occupancy list.
- Order and restock office, pantry, and kitchen supplies.
- Inspect, monitor, and control HVAC equipment; operate the Energy Management System; and assist with internal building move coordination.
- Distribute mail and packages, record incoming package data, and send packages through FedEx.
- Perform minor repairs, including drywall repairs, light painting, ceiling tile and carpet tile replacement, light electrical work such as changing ballasts and bulbs, and light plumbing work such as rebuilding or replacing Sloan valves, replacing faucet aerators, and resetting or clearing garbage disposals.
- Manage conference rooms, including setup and breakdown for meetings and general housekeeping.
- Perform general handyman services, including whiteboard installation, picture hanging, and minor furniture repair.
- Distribute office keys and furniture and maintain related records; repair door locks.
- Respond to, coordinate, and submit building-related issues to property management or outside contractors, and perform quality assurance on vendor work.
- Follow work order and request procedures, confirm receipt, and ensure work is scheduled within 24 hours of the order.
- A college degree is a plus and may allow a fast-track plan to management.
