Responsibilities
  • Develop client engagement strategies and pursuit plans for new water, wastewater, and environmental business in the New England region.
  • Align firm-wide strategies with local business development activities.
  • Be responsible for the overall financial performance of projects within a client portfolio.
  • Advocate for the company through active participation in professional and industry organizations.
  • Assemble and lead client and project teams to meet client needs and project requirements.
  • Develop and manage proposal efforts and presentations.
  • Implement the company's Sales Delivery Process and proactively use its sales tools.
  • Negotiate critical issues with clients, potential teaming partners, and subconsultants.
  • Develop technical approaches and strategies.
  • Assist on individual projects and meet billable hour targets.
  • Meet annual sales goals from existing and new clients.
  • Manage business development budgets and costs.
  • Coordinate routinely with other area client service leaders and internal business units to meet business objectives.
  • Follow and implement standardized business practices.
  • Participate in the company's training program to reinforce core competencies of the client service leader position and obtain requisite certifications within six months of onboarding.
  • Adhere to the company's core values.
Desired Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience with municipal water or wastewater projects since obtaining a bachelor's degree.
  • Previous experience winning or managing water/wastewater projects in the greater New England market; southeastern Massachusetts is highly preferred.
  • Strong client relationships with water/wastewater clients in the New England water market.
  • A bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and/or Professional Engineer certification.
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, organization, and listening skills.
