Requirements
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Ability to read prints, follow instructions, and understand measuring equipment such as tape measures, scales, and decimals and fractions.
Ability to safely operate drilling equipment.
Ability to follow instructions from the Header Frames Line Supervisor and other managers and supervisors.
Ability to work in a factory environment with extreme weather exposure, noise, dust, dirt, and motorized equipment safety hazards.
Ability to stand for long periods and regularly walk, sit, lift, reach, and bend.
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to follow proper safety procedures, lifting techniques, and personal protective equipment requirements.
Availability for extended hours and overtime depending on business needs.
Responsibilities
Review customer orders and verify color, sizes, number of units, and other specifications.
Follow the bill of materials for all products and communicate discrepancies to the line supervisor or Applications Engineering department.
Move raw materials from the rack to the workstation without damaging the material finish.
Use a drill press with a speed chuck and drill fixtures to drill holes according to work order instructions.
Inspect surface aesthetics to ensure visual quality using the 6-foot rule of standards.
Stack finished products carefully on the appropriate rack.
Check off finished work from the shop schedule as required.
Prep headers by drilling and preparing holes in extrusions and assemble components according to job specifications and verbal instructions.
Desired Qualifications
0-2 years of manufacturing experience, including experience using a saw.

Position Summary This position preps headers by drilling and preparing holes in extrusions and assembling components per job specifications and verbal instruction as part of the manufacturing process.
Essential Functions
Review customer order and verify color, sizes, number of units, etc.
Ensure the BOM (bill of materials) is closely followed for all products, communicating any discrepancies with line supervisor or Applications Engineering department.
Move raw materials from rack to workstation without damaging the finish of the material.
Use drill press with a speed chuck and drill fixtures to drill holes per work order instructions.
Inspect surface aesthetics to assure visual quality of material using the “6’ rule of standards.”
Carefully stack finished product on appropriate rack.
Check off finished work from shop schedule as required.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Work is performed in a factory with exposure to extreme weather conditions; noisy, dusty, and dirty environments; and motorized equipment that pose potential safety hazards. Long periods of standing, as well as regularly walking, sitting, lifting, reaching, and bending, are required. Regularly lifting up to 50 lbs. is required.
