Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field of study
  • Expertise in building large-scale applications in Python
  • 5+ years of experience building full-stack applications emphasizing backend and large-scale applications
  • Experience building highly available, large-dimensional, responsive data access interfaces and APIs for internal and external customers for data products
  • Experience in building UX with React and similar technologies
  • Recent accomplishments working with relational and NoSQL data stores
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience with a modern data stack (Databricks, Kafka, Spark, Airflow, real-time databases) and cloud data warehouses such as RedShift and Snowflake
Responsibilities
  • Translate product and business requirements into full-stack applications and systems
  • Build and maintain highly available, high-volume 1st party pixel systems for data gathering and Shopify integration
  • Design, build, deploy, and support scalable, high-volume data pipelines and applications
  • Create easy-to-use systems for partners to integrate with our technology platform robustly
  • Design relational and non-relational data models for optimal data storage and retrieval for data products
  • Evaluate, recommend, and build new data access interface prototypes for high-dimensional and high-volume data
  • Participate in technical architecture discussions and peer code reviews
  • Collaborate with data scientists, business analysts, engineers, and product managers to understand the company's data-related needs and support them with applications
  • Identify, document, and promote data engineering best practices on the team and in the larger organization
