The US Department of Labor reported the consumer price index rose 0.1% in July, matching the Zacks Consensus Estimate, whilst the annual headline CPI increased 3.4%, down from 3.5% in June. Core CPI, excluding food and energy, rose 0.2% monthly and 2.5% annually, both in line with estimates.
