THE JOB:
Ready to dive into the heart of live entertainment? As an Entertainment Tech Stagehand, you’ll be at the forefront of powering unforgettable events, operating and maintaining the cutting-edge technical equipment that brings shows to life. From ensuring everything runs smoothly to upholding safety and company standards, your role will be crucial to our success. THE STARTING RATE: $34.29
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Technical Operations: Run cue tracks for various technical elements, including audio, electronics, fly systems, follow spots, lighting, carpentry, and props.
Theatre Maintenance: Conduct theatre maintenance, inspections, and repairs as assigned and approved, ensuring all equipment and systems are in top working order.
Event Support: Set up and tear down for special events, providing seamless technical support as needed.
Relationship Building: Foster professional relationships with internal and external guests, including MGMRI staff, resident show partners, and talent performing in the theater.
Artistic Vision: Uphold the Artistic Vision set by talent and artists, ensuring all productions align with MGMRI’s standards and departmental guidelines.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Age: Must be 21 years old or older.
Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in live shows, technical theatre, or showroom environments in a college/resort setting.
Industry Background: Previous experience working in high-energy, fast-paced live performance environments, handling set changes, sound, and lighting effects, requiring sustained focus and physical stamina.
Availability: Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and all major holidays.
Certifications: Must have or be able to obtain an OSHA 10 certification.
