Location: East Coast preferably near Needham, MA 

The VP of Data, AI and Analytics is a highly data focused role and will be an integral part of setting a culture of creativity, innovation and excellence in all areas of data engineering, data science, analytics and technology. The position requires a passionate and technical leader with experience in both commercial and open-source stacks and always a champion for a best of breed approach to tooling and methodology. Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in building and motivating teams.

This position is responsible for building a front end engineering team that will be responsible for designing, developing, operating and supporting the next generation SharkNinja Data platforms, High level duties also include capacity planning, maintaining diverse resource pools, fiscal accountability and best-in-breed engineering and analytics practices.

Key Accountabilities: 

• Data Strategy and Governance:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business goals.
• Establish and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security
• Oversee data quality initiatives, data lineage, and metadata management.

• Data Architecture and Infrastructure:
• Define and manage data architecture (data warehouses, data lakes, and pipelines)
• Evaluate data management tools and technologies to support the data ecosystem.
• Ensure scalability, availability, and security of data infrastructure.

• Advanced Analytics and Data Science:
  • Lead the development of advanced analytics and data science capabilities to drive actionable insights and business intelligence.
  • Identify opportunities for data-driven decision-making, predictive modelling, and machine learning applications.
  • Lead data monetization development and capabilities.
  • Ensure analytics impacts overall business strategy with quantifiable precision.
  • Operate as the organization’s thought leader with respect to best-in-class capabilities and emerging technologies in the data, analytics, insights and AI spaces.

• Develop and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders across the organization.
• Ensure the stability of data production environments by ensuring platform components are scalable and resilient.
• Foster a positive climate to build effective teams that are committed to organizational goals and initiatives.
• Update stakeholders on key initiative wins and opportunities, respond to concerns, and solicit feedback.
• Ensure appropriate resources are identified, hired, and retained.

Knowledge, Capabilities, and Experience: 

• At least 10+ years’ experience creating the vision, roadmap, and strategic direction for highly complex data development projects.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data management, and data architecture principles.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data and Analytics, Data Science strongly preferred
• Expertise in data analytics, machine learning and business intelligence tools.
• Ability to handle multiple teams simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment. 
• Excellent knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies within Data and proven experience in data leadership. In this role the right mix of technical knowledge, business skills and servant leadership are critical to the organization.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance standards.
