Requirements
  • CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation with strong, hands-on full-cycle accounting experience, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end close.
  • Working knowledge of Canadian GST/HST and payroll source-deduction and Canada Revenue Agency remittances.
  • Proficiency with a cloud accounting or enterprise resource planning system and strong Excel skills; experience with Zoho Books, Zoho People, Zoho Projects, Zoho Expense, QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is relevant.
  • Comfort coordinating with a head office in another country and working across Canadian-dollar and United-States-dollar transactions.
  • Ability to work independently in a self-directed, organized, and reliable manner.
  • Willingness to perform light office-management duties involving mail, receiving, and coordination.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (23 kilograms) and operate a manual pallet jack for occasional receiving.
  • Legal entitlement to work in Canada and ability to pass a background and reference check.
Responsibilities
  • Own the full cycle of accounting for the Canadian entity, including accounts payable and receivable, bank and general-ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and support for month-end and year-end close.
  • Assist with United States bookkeeping and accounting in partnership with the Chief Financial Officer as time allows.
  • Prepare and remit Canadian GST/HST and payroll source deductions to the Canada Revenue Agency, or coordinate them with head office and external advisors.
  • Work across the border with head office in Garland, Texas; reconcile intercompany activity, handle Canadian-dollar and United-States-dollar transactions, and keep United States leadership current on Canadian financial matters.
  • Track recurring charges, review and code incoming bills, and route them to the appropriate approvers.
  • Help schedule field resources and track their time, attendance, and expenses in AmpThink's Zoho tools.
  • Maintain the Fort Erie office, including mail, supplies, vendors, filing, and records.
  • Receive materials at the loading dock, sign for deliveries, move items with a manual pallet jack, and lift up to 50 pounds (23 kilograms).
Desired Qualifications
  • Construction, technology-integration, or other project-based accounting experience, including job costing, work-in-progress, and progress billing.
  • Cross-border or intercompany accounting experience, or exposure to both Canadian and United States tax and reporting.
  • Experience with multi-currency Canadian-dollar and United-States-dollar transactions and reconciliations.
  • Experience in a sports, venue, or large-project environment.
  • Experience owning the books for a small entity or branch, or running a small or solo office.

The installation features a 5-meter interactive LED sphere that allows fans to upload photos via QR code and see themselves displayed in real time on a 360-degree canvas, creating an immersive, shareable fan experience that extends engagement well beyond the match day.
