MUSC Health is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Inpatient Cardiology team on a PRN basis. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice at the top of your license alongside a nationally recognized cardiovascular team while caring for a diverse and complex inpatient cardiac population.
As a valued member of the Heart & Vascular team, you will play a critical role in the management of patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions, working collaboratively with cardiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary specialists to deliver outstanding, patient-centered care. Whether managing heart failure, arrhythmias, ischemic heart disease, or post-procedural cardiac patients, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes every day.
This PRN position offers 12-hour shifts with a minimum commitment of 24 hours per month, providing flexibility while maintaining consistent engagement with a high-performing clinical team. Ideal candidates are clinically confident, team-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional cardiovascular care in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown is a full-service, acute care hospital located in Columbia, South Carolina, serving as a cornerstone of MUSC’s Midlands Division. Required Qualifications:
Advanced Practice Provider: Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
Board certified and licensed (or eligible) in South Carolina
Experience in cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, or critical care preferred
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Strong procedural, clinical, and communication skills
Position Highlights:
Provide PRN clinical support across inpatient cardiology and procedural settings.
Assist with the evaluation and management of a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary, heart failure, electrophysiology, and structural heart populations.
Participate in pre-procedural assessments, inpatient management, peri-procedural care, and post-procedural follow-up as appropriate.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary cardiovascular teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
