  • Ability to use hand tools and follow blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair HVAC units.
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
Responsibilities
  • Assist experienced technicians with installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for service work and site maintenance.
  • Service products and equipment on assigned projects and help ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer locations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as requested by customers.
  • Prepare for on-site installations and repairs by examining building layouts, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary.
  • Inspect vehicles for condition and cleanliness; maintain them by keeping service records, scheduling, and completing repairs and maintenance.
  • Inspect equipment for signs of wear and notify the customer and/or Operations Manager of findings.
  • Document each job, maintain files, and record daily time, progress, duration, parts, materials, labor, subcontractors, and other costs; return unused resources.
  • Represent the company as a direct customer contact and provide technical support to customers.
  • Determine parts required for repairs and when they are needed.
  • Submit required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
  • Keep current on products related to installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
