Exponent ONE, Montra Electric and Exponent Energy launch pay-per-km "ONE Pass" for e3ws.

Exponent ONE, Montra Electric and Exponent Energy launch pay-per-km "ONE Pass" for e3ws. Exponent ONE, an EV financing platform for commercial vehicles, has partnered with Montra Electric and Exponent Energy to launch ONE Pass, an Energy-as-a-Service offering for Montra Electric three-wheelers. It charges drivers per kilometre for battery usage and charging, and bundles this with a lifetime battery warranty under a single per-kilometre rate. The companies say the model tackles a key barrier to commercial EV adoption: the higher upfront cost and fixed EMI. Driver-owners can buy a Montra Electric Super Cargo eQx or eQXd+ with a ₹39,999 down payment and a monthly EMI of ₹12,099 for 48 months. Battery usage and charging cost ₹3.20 per km, billed daily and capped at ₹12,000 a month. The rate is fixed for four years, so there is no inflation in energy costs, and drivers get access to Exponent Energy's 15-minute rapid-charging network. Mr. Sandeep Divakaran, Co-founder and CEO of Exponent ONE, said an electric three-wheeler can cost 25-30% more than a comparable CNG vehicle because of the battery. He said energy should be an operating expense, not a large upfront cost, and that drivers can now pay for energy by the kilometre, as they think about fuel. Mr. Deependra Sharma, CEO of e-3W at Montra Electric (TI Clean Mobility), said the pairing gives customers a lower entry price, predictable operating costs and the confidence of a lifetime battery warranty. Mr. Arun Vinayak, Founder and CEO of Exponent Energy, said its battery technology and rapid-charging network are built for high daily use.

Exponent Energy Converts 200 Autorickshaws to Electric.

Exponent Energy Converts 200 Autorickshaws to Electric. * Home * News * Electric Vehicles * Electric Mobility * Exponent Energy Converts 200 Autorickshaws to Electric Exponent Energy has retrofitted 200 ICE autorickshaws with electric powertrains in Bengaluru, covering over 1.5 million kilometres and completing more than 25,000 charging sessions. Bengaluru-based EV technology company Exponent Energy has successfully retrofitted 200 internal combustion engine (ICE) autorickshaws into electric vehicles in Bengaluru through its Exponent OTO platform. The initiative was carried out as part of a four-month pilot project. According to the company, the retrofitted electric autorickshaws have covered more than 1.5 million kilometres and completed over 25,000 charging sessions so far. Exponent Energy said that following the pilot, it has achieved around 20% market share in Bengaluru's electric three-wheeler segment. Based on the experience gained from the pilot project, Exponent Energy plans to expand its commercial retrofitment services to other major cities across India. The company is focusing on providing an alternative pathway to EV adoption by converting existing ICE vehicles into electric vehicles. Ayush Bhargava, Head of Business, Exponent Energy, said the 200 retrofits in Bengaluru demonstrate the significant potential to electrify vehicles that are already on the road. Instead of waiting for existing vehicles to be replaced, retrofitment can help electrify the existing fleet. He added that the retrofit model offers drivers a more accessible way to adopt EVs while allowing them to continue using their existing vehicles and the service ecosystem they are already familiar with.
