Requirements
  • Industry recognition as leader in the field of hydropower engineering
  • Provide technical expertise within hydropower and energy projects, specifically with respect to generators, primary plant and secondary systems
  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience in a consulting environment, with significant experience in the electrical engineering field, including managing to programme, budget and quality requirements
  • Experience working in multi-disciplined teams, including geologists, hydraulic engineers, dams engineers, hydro-mechanical and structural engineers across both jurisdictions and time zones.
Responsibilities
  • Providing technical leadership in electrical aspects of hydropower design projects within Australia
  • Building and maintaining key client relationships to develop a sustainable national Hydropower capability
  • Providing specialised technical services to clients on a diverse range of hydropower and energy related projects including feasibility studies, design and construction support for new build and improvement projects
  • Securing project opportunities, delivering successful business development outcomes which will grow the team
  • Building GHD’s profile in dams and hydropower.
