Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • At least 10 years of relationship or client service management experience is required.
  • Demonstrated topical knowledge of the industry and knowledge of defined contribution financial products and services are required.
  • Prior Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) compliance experience is required.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Relationship Manager or Institutional Consultant to deliver exceptional client service while supporting day-to-day and complex issues and projects.
  • Support clients with plans subject to Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) compliance by working with internal legal and compliance teams.
  • Provide technical support to consultants and institutional clients on plan design, compliance, and due diligence for private equity and mergers and acquisitions transactions.
  • Attend client quarterly plan review meetings as necessary to serve as a plan design subject matter expert.
  • Provide consultation on compliance testing results and corrections.
  • Perform cost analysis of benefit formula changes by using census information to calculate the financial exposure of various matching formulas.
  • Support sales and growth by reviewing prospective clients' plan documents and making design recommendations.
  • Build relationships with recordkeeping partners to understand their benefit modeling capabilities and augment their work product.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness in supporting retirement plan clients.
  • Stay abreast of current market, business, and legislative issues and trends to facilitate discussions with clients.
  • Provide project-related support for requests for proposals, conversions, and related initiatives as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Relevant industry designations are preferred, including Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA), Qualified 401(k) Consultant (QKC), Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA), Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA), and Tax-Exempt and Governmental Plan Consultant (TGPC).
