Swiggy enters travel with CREW, launches 24/7 personal concierge service.

Swiggy enters travel with CREW, launches 24/7 personal concierge service. From choosing flights and hotels to changing reservations during a trip, CREW aims to provide travellers with personalised assistance across every stage of their journey. By CNBCTV18.com September 3, 2026, 4:46:49 PM IST (Published) Swiggy's premium concierge platform CREW has expanded into the travel space, offering a dedicated personal travel concierge service for paid members and invited travellers. The service is designed to assist travellers across the journey, from planning and booking to on-trip support and local recommendations. Unlike conventional online travel platforms that largely focus on bookings, CREW aims to provide assistance even after a reservation has been confirmed. CREW aims to go beyond travel bookings The travel offering comes after a year of learnings from CREW's broader personal concierge service. According to the company, travel emerged as the category with the strongest demand for seamless, end-to-end convenience, prompting the platform to expand into space. CREW provides round-the-clock assistance across time zones, helping travellers handle itinerary changes, local recommendations and address travel-related needs while they are away from home. The service combines human concierges with AI to provide faster and personalised assistance throughout the journey. From flights and hotels to visas and experiences CREW's travel offering covers several aspects of trip planning and execution. Members can seek assistance with flights, hotels, cabs, visas, forex, international ticketing, reservations and travel activities. The platform also offers curated travel experiences and city-level recommendations through its local partner network, with the aim of providing more personalised suggestions instead of a generic listings feed. One of the offerings includes member-only hotel rates through CREW's partner network. 24/7 assistance during the trip CREW says its concierge service is designed to stay with travellers throughout their journey. The platform anticipates what needs to be pre-booked, makes reservations on travellers' behalf and provides real-time assistance during the trip. The company is positioning this as a concierge-first approach, where recommendations are based on individual travel requirements rather than simply promoting the most popular options. Sharing the development on LinkedIn, Rohit Kapoor, CEO, Swiggy Food Marketplace, said the gap between making a booking and managing the actual travel experience was the problem CREW was built to address. "A personal travel concierge that stays with you before the trip, through the trip, and when the plan inevitably needs a new plan. Great prices to get you started. Real support for everything after," he added. Human expertise meets AI Backed by Swiggy 's technology ecosystem, CREW combines human expertise and AI to provide personalised assistance across different stages of travel. According to the company, its concierge-led model is aimed at helping consumers make high-involvement travel decisions with greater convenience and confidence. CREW's travel service is currently available through paid subscription or on an invite-only basis.

Bijliride partners with Swiggy, Zomato to accelerate EV adoption among delivery riders.

Bijliride partners with Swiggy, Zomato to accelerate EV adoption among delivery riders. By Shivangi Gupta September 1, 2026 3 Mins Read Bijliride, an EV mobility and infrastructure platform, has partnered with Swiggy and Zomato to provide delivery riders with access to electric two-wheelers through its rental platform. With more than 5,500 EVs already deployed, the company is helping riders transition to electric mobility without the upfront cost of vehicle ownership. Its offering is supported by battery-swapping services, battery delivery and 24/7 on-road assistance, helping address key operational challenges for electric last-mile delivery. From an enterprise perspective, the partnership helps address the vehicle-access and uptime challenges faced by delivery platforms. By enabling delivery partners to access EVs without purchasing a vehicle, Bijliride can help create a larger pool of riders with access to electric mobility, while its battery support and on-road assistance infrastructure helps reduce vehicle downtime during delivery operations. The company currently has an operational presence across Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai and Pune. For riders, Bijliride's rental model reduces the financial barrier to switching to an EV by removing the need for a significant upfront vehicle purchase. Riders also have access to battery swapping, doorstep battery delivery and 24/7 roadside assistance, helping address concerns around charging, battery availability, maintenance and breakdowns. Bijliride also provides rider onboarding covering EV operation, battery swapping or charging, safe riding practices and access to support. "Our role is to make EV mobility more accessible and practical for the people who depend on their vehicles for their livelihood. The partnership with Swiggy and Zomato gives delivery partners another way to access an EV without taking on the upfront cost and operational responsibilities of ownership. At the same time, our battery and support infrastructure is designed to ensure that riders can keep working with minimum downtime," said Shivam Sisodiya, Co-Founder & CEO, Bijliride. Bijliride has facilitated more than 35,000 battery swaps and 9,000 battery deliveries, with over 200,000 app downloads to date. The company plans to deepen its presence across existing markets and continue building partnerships across the food delivery, quick-commerce and last-mile ecosystem. Its larger ambition is to build a full-stack mobility platform combining EV rentals, fleet management, battery infrastructure, technology and on-ground support for India's growing gig economy. Founded in 2021, Bijliride is India's leading SaaS-powered electric two-wheeler rental platform, tackling urban challenges of pollution and rising commuting costs. With a fleet of 4,000+ EVs across major cities, it serves both individuals and enterprises through 24/7 battery swapping, on-road support, and enterprise fleet management. Backed by strong tech integration, franchise-led expansion, and a vision to enable one million users by 2030, Bijliride is driving the shift toward sustainable and cost-effective urban mobility.
