About the company

Action Day Schools runs tuition-funded private schools and early childhood programs for families in California's Santa Clara Valley. Infant and toddler care leads into preschool and transitional kindergarten, followed by elementary and middle-school instruction through eighth grade. Classroom learning combines academic subjects with creative activities, while extended-day care and summer programs cover time outside the regular school day. Families choose programs by age and schedule, and elementary and middle-school applicants complete readiness assessments before admission, subject to available places. The business opened its first preschool in 1968 and is headquartered in San Jose, California.
