  • 5+ years of demonstrated success selling supplemental products to school districts in the K12 market
  • Extensive experience in networking, prospecting, and building a pipeline in territory
  • Well-versed in MEDDPICC sales methodology
  • Proven success forecasting business in the EdTech industry
  • Must be based in the territory (KY, MN, OK, PA, AR, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC, TN, VA) to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities
  • Building relationships with key decision makers at the district level and selling Newsela’s suite of products
  • Employing solution-based selling techniques and solution mapping
  • Creating and maintaining an aggressive pipeline
  • Building and adjusting strategic account plans for key accounts
  • Moving each account through the sales cycle
  • Pipeline creation, pipeline management and forecasting
  • Designing lead generation campaigns
  • Managing sales through the entire lifecycle
  • Collaborating closely with other departments

Newsela offers tailored educational content for K-12 students, providing engaging and standards-aligned materials in subjects like English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. Schools and districts subscribe to access a library of articles that are updated daily and available at five different reading levels, catering to diverse student needs. The platform integrates with Learning Management Systems and includes features like activities and reporting tools to support teachers. Newsela's goal is to enhance student engagement and improve teaching methods through flexible instructional resources.
