What believers are saying

  • Internal progression: the careers page says most lead coordinators started as assistants and advanced within a year.
  • Schedule control: the current wedding planner contract lets planners choose their own schedule.
  • Structured coaching: marketing interns receive recurring feedback, mentorship and supervised project experience.

What critics are saying

  • Personal equipment burden: lead coordinators must use their own laptop, phone and vehicle.
  • Weekend-dependent earnings: assistant coordinator work is event-based, mainly weekends, at $150 per event.
  • Fixed project compensation: the advertised lead planner role pays $400 for 10-12 hours.

What makes Leigh and Co. unique

  • Separate client liaison: a dedicated Client Experience Manager guides couples from the start.
  • Local matching process: planners are paired with couples according to venue, personality and style.
  • Priced entry tier: non-wedding event coordination starts at $1,750, with expanded work quoted individually.
