  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
  • Accuracy in data collection and documentation, with the ability to identify and correct errors promptly.
  • Ability to maintain meticulous records and organized study files and documentation.
  • Ability to clearly convey information to participants and team members and provide clear, concise reports.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently and complete study activities on time.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues during studies and develop solutions to improve study processes.
  • Critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic data capture systems, medical terminology, and clinical research methods.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and software.
  • Ability to work around biohazards and perform field work as necessary.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of clinical trials.
  • Ensure compliance with study protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate participant recruitment, screening, and enrollment.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of study activities.
  • Collect, enter, and verify clinical trial data and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Prepare data reports for review by the Principal Investigator and sponsors.
  • Manage electronic data capture systems.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory documents to Institutional Review Boards and other regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain ethical approval for studies from initial approval through amendments, annual renewals, and terminations.
  • Ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
  • Maintain regulatory binders and essential documents.
  • Coordinate audits and inspections.
  • Inform and obtain consent from study participants.
  • Schedule and conduct study visits.
  • Monitor participant safety and well-being.
  • Provide education and support to participants.
  • Communicate study progress and issues to the Principal Investigator and research team.
  • Liaise with sponsors, monitors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  • Facilitate effective teamwork and collaboration.
  • Assist with grant writing and funding applications.
  • Participate in the development of study protocols and procedures.
  • Attend professional development workshops and conferences.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior research staff.
  • Adhere to internal controls and reporting structure.
  • Perform related duties as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in clinical research, Public Health, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in clinical research coordination.
  • Certification as a Clinical Research Coordinator or equivalent.
  • Additional certifications in clinical research or related fields.
