Requirements
  • Completion of a three-year Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine residency.
  • At least three years of post-residency experience in a fast-paced Urgent Care or Primary Care outpatient setting.
  • Active ABMS or AOA board certification in Family Medicine or dual board certification in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
  • Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination.
  • Eligibility for the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact is required.
  • An active and unrestricted state medical license in at least one state is required, and residence in an Interstate Medical Licensure Compact state is required.
  • Experience and comfort providing care for all ages, from newborns to adults.
  • Ability to function within an integrated medical practice.
  • Extensive breadth of clinical expertise.
  • Proficiency with technology.
  • No current exclusion or sanction by any state or federal health care program, including Medicare or Medicaid, and no identification as an excluded person by the Office of Inspector General or General Services Administration, or reprimand or sanction by Medicare.
  • Active Medicare status must be maintained.
  • Ability to meet the physical and cognitive requirements, including prolonged seated work, keyboard and computer use, manual dexterity, and occasional lifting of approximately 20 pounds.
  • Ability to work the contractual schedule of at least 32 hours per week, including weeknights, every other weekend, and three holiday shifts per calendar year.
Responsibilities
  • Perform age-appropriate patient histories and virtual examinations, evaluate and diagnose patients, recommend treatment plans, and document findings accurately and promptly.
  • Deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining patient safety.
  • Document patient medical information and review patient history at each visit.
  • Request consultations or referrals with other healthcare providers when appropriate.
  • Counsel and educate patients.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Evaluate, triage, and manage pediatric and adult patients for acute care, including chronic disease management and mental health conditions.
  • Maintain knowledge of current medical research and trends.
  • Provide administrative support or cross-coverage for reviewing laboratory test results.

  • Telemedicine or virtual care experience with video-based visits.
  • Experience with Athena electronic medical records.
  • Experience and interest in supervising nurse practitioners.
