Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
  • An active Professional Engineer license is required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other computer-aided design tools for site and land development design is required.
  • Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility design is required.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare comprehensive site and land development plans, including grading, drainage, erosion control, and utility layouts.
  • Design stormwater management systems in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct site evaluations, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments for land development projects.
  • Develop construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other computer-aided design tools.
  • Integrate sustainable design practices, such as low-impact development, green infrastructure, and water conservation strategies.
  • Coordinate with architects, surveyors, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with zoning codes, permitting requirements, and environmental standards.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations for stormwater systems.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Provide technical oversight during construction and resolve design-related issues.
  • Prepare and present reports and plans to clients and regulatory authorities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Three to five years of experience in site and land development design.
  • Familiarity with local permitting processes and environmental regulations.
  • Experience with hydrology and hydraulics modeling tools such as HEC-RAS and SWMM.
  • Knowledge of green infrastructure and low-impact development techniques.
