About the job
- A technical diploma, Licence, or engineering degree in a technical field such as mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, and/or electronic systems.
- At least 3 years of experience in the maintenance department of a manufacturing company.
- Applied knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, and/or electronic systems.
- Knowledge of plastic molding technologies (EBM, SBM, and/or IM).
- Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing tools and problem-solving methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of health, safety, and environmental rules and practices.
- Take responsibility for actions and results, including owning mistakes.
- Use analytical and practical problem-solving, avoiding unnecessary complexity without compromising quality.
- Demonstrate patience, tenacity, and persistence in meeting objectives and responding to challenges.
- Build trust and contribute to a positive, stable work environment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machines, molds, and equipment according to maintenance plans.
- Inspect machines, equipment, utilities, and accessories regularly, checking relevant parameters and meter readings.
- Identify and replace worn parts, promptly submit requests for necessary spare parts, or request technical support from the supplier through the Technical Manager.
- Repair and manufacture mechanical and other parts using workshop tools and equipment.
- Provide technical assistance during installation of machines and equipment.
- Resolve production, processing, or technical problems to improve equipment performance.
- Perform complete mold and configuration changes.
- Work closely with Quality and Production teams to resolve technical problems with finished products.
- Track and record spare parts in the warehouse and inform the Technical Manager accordingly.
- Complete intervention reports to track equipment and spare-parts life cycles.
- Maintain and repair building-related equipment and installations.
- Resolve technical problems affecting product quality and the production process, and ensure equipment functions properly.
- Promote communication between the team and the director.
- Interact with operational functions to promote a high-performance culture.
- Follow safety rules in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Maintain order, organization, and cleanliness in assigned areas, following good workplace hygiene practices.
- Experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
