Prove brings silent authentication to Wi-Fi and mobile web, surpasses 10B annual authentications

Prove has expanded its SIM-based authentication capabilities to cover Wi-Fi and mobile web environments, addressing a longstanding limitation in silent authentication. The company, which processes over 10 billion authentications annually, can now verify device possession cryptographically even when users are not connected to mobile networks. Traditional silent authentication required a direct mobile network connection, forcing businesses to use SMS one-time passcodes when customers switched to Wi-Fi or certain browser-based experiences. Prove's enhanced technology eliminates this dependency, allowing seamless authentication across more digital interactions. The advancement is integrated into Prove Unified Authentication and extends to Prove Pre-Fill, which auto-populates identity information during account opening. Prove customers have already reduced SMS OTP costs by up to 50 percent. The company serves 19 of the top 20 US banks and processes more than 27 million authentications daily.

Ownera integrates Prove's identity verification into SuperApps Platform for tokenized asset trading

Ownera, a UK fintech specialising in digital asset interoperability, has integrated Prove's identity verification and authentication solutions into its SuperApps Platform, making them available to all institutions on the FinP2P network. The integration addresses a critical bottleneck in tokenised asset markets, where onboarding a single institutional counterparty costs between $2,500 and $25,000 and takes an average of 90 days. Industry estimates suggest 30–50% of this spend represents duplicated work across custodians, transfer agents and trading venues. Prove's privacy-preserving identity infrastructure enables institutions to verify counterparties seamlessly across platforms and transactions. The SuperApp deployment means financial institutions can access these capabilities without requiring bespoke bilateral integrations, strengthening the network for all participants whilst maintaining institutional-grade security and compliance standards.

Prove has launched the Prove Identity Platform, a unified system that transforms identity verification from a one-time event into a persistent foundation of trust for people, businesses and AI agents. The platform addresses growing concerns around agentic commerce, where AI agents initiate transactions on behalf of users. The platform includes three core components: Prove Key Management for adaptive authentication, Prove Identity Manager for proactive identity monitoring, and Prove Global Fraud Policy for advanced fraud protection. It is built on 12 years of authenticated identity history covering 90% of the world's digitally active adults. Prove has also expanded its agentic solution suite, embedding cryptographically signed consent into identity tokens.
