Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Washington.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Current CPR/Basic Life Support certification.
- Executed collaborative agreement with a licensed Physician.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to students in accordance with established medical protocols and provider orders.
- Perform nursing assessments, triage, sick call support, and follow-up care.
- Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist with intake physicals, health screenings, laboratory testing, and chronic care management.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical documentation in the Student Health Record.
- Monitor infection control practices and ensure compliance with Job Corps and public health standards.
- Coordinate care with the Physician, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Health and Wellness Director, and other center staff.
- Assist with medical referrals, follow-up appointments, and continuity of care.
- Support health promotion, prevention, and education activities for students and staff.
- Maintain medical supplies, equipment, and medication inventories.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, audits, and assessments as required.
Desired Qualifications
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with adolescents and young adults is preferred.
