About the role
In this role, you will serve as a Lead team member of our sanitation team at our Pizza Commissary Kitchen. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean environment and overseeing Sanitation Associates in accordance with Food Safety and Sanitation regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Comply with health and sanitation procedures and support overall cleanliness and maintenance of the workplace
- Complete daily tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Manager on duty
- Washing and sanitizing all areas including restrooms, offices, kitchens and conference spaces
- Check machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
- Sanitize the common areas, including floors, walls, countertops, furniture and restrooms
- Lead and delegate tasks to Associates and report progress and issues to Supervisor/Manager

- Pay rate: $21/hr
- Job location: Newark, NJ
- Full-time Night Shit: 4:00PM - 12:30 AM
Qualifications & Skills
- 18 months of experience sanitation/janitorial experience working in, but not limited to, a restaurant, hotel, or large facility environment
- Comfortable working in various temperatures including cold and hot environments
- Must be able to stand for a full shift while working
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to read, write and count
- Must have some weekend availability
- Prior experience with chemicals and food safety
- Sense of urgency
- Ability to motivate and delegate
- Ability to assist in multiple areas across the shift
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the US
