Requirements
  • Three to six years of previous piping design or drafting experience.
  • Experience with diverse project types.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and communicate with team members and client representatives.
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet critical deadlines.
  • Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD 2024, CADWorx 2023, and Navisworks 3D piping software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Physical ability to operate a computer, telephone, and other commonly used business-related items.
  • Ability to work extended hours, handle rapidly changing priorities, attend meetings, and travel as needed to support projects.
Responsibilities
  • Provide mechanical design services for midstream oil and gas, industrial, and commercial clients.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and construction personnel.
  • Provide computer-aided design drawings from conceptual design through completed engineering.
  • Provide piping design while working with the lead piping designer and lead engineers to develop drawing packages.
  • Develop design and construction documents, including process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, plans and sections, piping drawings, details, isometrics, and bills of materials.
  • Incorporate cost, customer service, quality, schedule, and safety considerations into designs from commencement through completion.
  • Address questions and issues during construction.
  • Work on best practices, internal procedures, and internal and external professional networks to stay informed of developments in the field.
  • Engage in multiple projects simultaneously and interact with team members throughout project duration.
  • Visit project sites as needed to gather data.
  • Participate in the analysis, deployment, implementation, and maintenance of technical policies and procedures.
  • Increase knowledge and learn and apply new skills.
  • Make timely decisions using sound judgment while keeping appropriate people informed.
  • Identify problems, gather and analyze information, and consult entities associated with and affected by issues.
  • Organize and prioritize work activities, use efficient time management, and meet deadlines or maintain project schedules.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally verbally and in written correspondence.
  • Meet established goals while demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness to ensure quality work.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Plant 3D and Autodesk Revit software.
