  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multifunctional team.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Proficiency in mission planning, task prioritization, optical sensor concepts, orbital and space operations, and decision-making under time pressure.

  • Ability to use a computer and office productivity tools at the speed required for the position and establish a productive, professional workspace.
Responsibilities
  • Convert higher-headquarters directives and site-specific tasking into executable mission plans, including coordinating Space Object Identification, maneuvers, launches, cislunar missions, and special tasking requirements.

  • Collaborate with operating crews, Line Tacticians, maintenance personnel, and system administrators to support mission execution and address operational concerns or mission adjustments.
  • Provide direct support to the onsite operating crew without performing planned bargaining-unit Sensor Operator duties; proactively support smooth mission execution through communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Serve as a dedicated non-CBA Mission Planner who can cross-train for coverage but does not perform routine Sensor Operator or crew-lead responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Site Mission Planner or applicable sensor qualification, to be obtained after hire.
  • Previous formal training or experience in orbital analysis, space domain awareness, or space operations principles.
