Requirements
  • 10+ years of product management experience, preferably in a startup or growth-stage company.
  • Demonstrated success building and leading teams of Product Managers (and Product Designers) as an executive owner.
  • Experience making products for both B2B and Consumer-facing products or significant experience in at least one.
  • Excited about the prospect of creating 0-1 products quickly and iterating on existing products.
  • Approach product management with an eye on practicality and business impact rather than just building and deploying.
  • Comfortable working with partial data or input.
  • Ability to communicate your ideas well to colleagues and stakeholders as well as an ability to speak fluently with our advisors to secure product feedback.
  • Strong ability to create easy-to-use products to accomplish complex tasks.
  • Fondness for identifying and addressing uncertain issues and converting them into well-defined objectives.
  • An eye for visually appealing and meticulously crafted UX, paying close attention to details.
  • Interested in working in-person in NYC in our amazing office in Tribeca/Fidi with convenient transportation and to-die-for NYC views.
Responsibilities
  • Grow an amazingly effective team: Hire, support, and develop a team of Product Managers and Product Designers to do the best work of their careers.
  • Assess the strengths and opportunities of the team based on objective criteria and help them to meet their full potential and the high bar Fora sets for our products.
  • Lead with deep understanding: Establish and drive a posture and practice of understanding customer problems deeply – not just reacting to customer requests or crafting screens based on abstract requirements.
  • Create new products from conception to launch: Comfortable with the entire Product Development process from research and conception, to design and prototyping, to pixel perfect implementation, handoff and QA.
  • Remove ambiguity and drive decisions: Adept at framing problems and challenges based on evidence and decision criteria to remove ambiguity and reduce risk.
  • Drive quality, consistency, and accessibility: Ensure great products are delivered to make positive change for customers.
  • Collaborate exceptionally: Work collaboratively with peers in Product Design, Product Ops, Engineering and across Fora. Demonstrate compelling and confident storytelling that surfaces assumptions and difficult decisions but also aligns and galvanizes stakeholders around solutions.

The funding was led by Insight Partners and Thrive Capital, with participation from Forerunner Ventures and Heartcore Capital.
