Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in a rehabilitation field is required.
  • A current Alabama license as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Audiologist, or Speech Language Pathologist is required.
  • A Speech Language Pathologist must also hold a current Certificate of Clinical Competence.
  • Five years of related experience, including two years of supervisory or management experience within a rehabilitation setting, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee rehabilitation operations, ensuring appropriate resources, personnel, and interdepartmental objectives.
  • Monitor rehabilitation evaluations and treatment for compliance with professional practice standards and delivery of quality, cost-effective services in inpatient or outpatient settings.
  • Work with Administration and Managers to develop and enforce departmental policies, procedures, competencies, and performance standards that integrate with other services to provide a continuum of care.
  • Ensure regulatory and accrediting compliance for applicable corporate rehabilitation service areas.
  • Develop and execute business plans addressing the organization's strategic goals.
  • Be accountable for financial and regulatory issues.
  • Develop operational strategies for cost-effective care delivery, including realistic budgets, rational capital budget requests, and management training support for cost-effective rehabilitative care.
  • Manage personnel functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and disciplinary actions.
  • Manage human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling.
  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with Baptist Health policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and applicable federal, state, and local standards.
  • Maintain compliance with Baptist Health policies and procedures.
