Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
  • Two to three years of progressive experience in a development or nonprofit setting is required.
  • Experience managing special events is required.
  • Proven project management, communication, and relationship-building experience is required.
  • The ability to work independently or in a group setting and interact with people at all levels of the University and with campus partners is required.
  • The ability to respond quickly to changing University needs and priorities is required.
  • The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment is required.
Responsibilities
  • Work directly with frontline fundraisers to implement stewardship programs for donors and prospects associated with principal gifts of $1 million and above and major gifts of $50,000 and above.
  • Work with colleagues, including the Senior Director of Advancement Communications, to manage the development and creation of donor impact reports, major gift presentations and reports, and other print materials related to donor recognition.
  • Craft personalized Thankview videos for major and principal gift donors.
  • Assist in planning and implementing a variety of special stewardship and donor recognition events.
  • Communicate with donors and build relationships in support of stewardship and special initiatives.
  • Assist with the student scholarship recipient thank-you program and annual scholarship fund reporting to donors with endowed and term funds.
  • Coordinate stewardship initiatives such as donor photo albums, framed photos and memorabilia, and donor recognition gifts for principal and major gift donors.
  • Assist with donor gift acknowledgement letters and related research and communications, particularly at the Summa level of $1,000 and above.
  • Assist in developing the donor relations strategy for Suffolk University.
