- A current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.

- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic kidney disease.
- Provide ongoing management of patients with chronic kidney disease, end-stage renal disease, and renal-related complications.
- Perform comprehensive nephrology-focused assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor and manage progression of chronic kidney disease.
- Review and interpret renal-related laboratory and diagnostic results.
- Identify and manage complications associated with chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease.
- Monitor and manage fluid status, edema, electrolyte abnormalities, and blood pressure as they relate to renal disease.
- Review medication regimens for appropriate renal dosing and potential nephrotoxic medications.
- Assist with evaluation and management of patients with renal hypertension and other conditions contributing to kidney disease.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and nephrology case discussions.
- Communicate significant changes in renal function or patient condition to the supervising nephrologist and appropriate members of the healthcare team.
- Two or more years of Nurse Practitioner experience in nephrology.
