Requirements
  • Lifeguard certification is required; free certification is available.
  • Experience in swimming or aquatics is required.
  • A current American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification is required.
  • A current American Red Cross First Aid for the Professional Rescuer certification is required.
  • A current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification is required.
  • Knowledge of rescue procedures and emergency medical procedures is required.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain safe swimming conditions in the pool, on the deck, and in surrounding areas.
  • Ensure the safety of all members during pool operating hours by remaining on deck, actively patrolling the pool area, staying alert, and continuously scanning.
  • Enforce all pool rules.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
