Requirements
  • An MD degree is required.
  • Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-accredited United States Internal Medicine internship and residency is required.
  • Completion of a three-year Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-accredited United States Endocrinology fellowship is required.
  • Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, or board eligibility, is required.
  • A valid unrestricted Florida medical license, or eligibility to apply, is required; the license must be obtained before credentialing.
  • Valid Drug Enforcement Administration licensure is required.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Basic Life Support certification is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide outpatient and inpatient care to patients at the University of Miami Health System and Jackson Memorial Hospital.
  • Engage in training of Endocrinology fellows, residents, and medical students.
  • Oversee assigned mid-level medical staff and nursing clinical staff.
