About the job
- Maintain company standards for background checks, including criminal record, driving record, and controlled substance/drug testing.
- Know local driving rules and regulations.
- Carry out simple arithmetic functions.
- Maintain the proper safety equipment required for each job.

- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- Work outdoors with exposure to moving equipment and machinery parts, moving traffic, fumes, and airborne particles, in a usually moderate-to-loud noise environment.
- Be able to work some nights and weekends, work overtime, and travel with the company when necessary.
- Complete equipment and vehicle repair reports as a crew member.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with Department of Transportation and quality guidelines.
- Ensure vehicles and their spray systems or other truck-mounted equipment are in working order and properly loaded each day, and keep vehicles clean inside and out.
- Ensure pre-trip and post-trip inspection forms are completed properly.
- Maximize production on the job.
- Be trained and able to operate and maintain at least six different pieces of equipment.
- Be able to operate hand machines, a forklift, a hand grinder, a 3M hand-tape machine, a 3M adhesive applicator, and a hand-roller tamper cart.
- Be able to install preformed thermo/hot tape.
