Requirements
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required, although up to four years of additional qualifying work experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
- Five years of professional human resources experience in employee or labor relations is required.
- Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures and applicable federal, state, and other human-resources-related laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances is required.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations concerning collective bargaining and employer-employee relations is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products is required.
- Oral and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems is required.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws is required.
- The successful candidate must complete employment eligibility verification and provide documents establishing identity and work authorization as required by federal immigration law.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional support to the Program Director, Labor Relations.
- Foster positive working relationships with labor unions.
- Resolve union disputes.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Provide professional support in a high-volume environment while maintaining communication with unions and leadership.
