- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Current Nursing Assistant Level I certification is required.
- American Heart Association CPR certification is required.
- Previous healthcare-setting experience is not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move patients as necessary.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
- Help patients with mobility by aiding with walking, turning, repositioning, and transfers between beds, chairs, and wheelchairs.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, and report abnormalities to the nurse.
- Support nursing staff with basic medical care, including changing wound dressings and assisting with medical equipment.
- Observe patients for changes in condition or behavior and promptly report concerns to nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all care provided in accordance with facility policies.
- Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge as directed.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Uphold patient rights, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Comply with infection-control protocols and relevant health and safety regulations.
