  • A bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or business administration is required.

  • Understanding of regulatory and accreditation standards and healthcare laws and regulations is required.
  • Familiarity with medical staff organization, credentialing, and bylaws is required.
  • Proficiency in healthcare information systems and technology is required.
  • The role requires confidentiality, integrity, honesty, strong work ethics, and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • The role requires the ability to move freely and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • The role is exposed to bloodborne pathogens while performing job duties.
Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and operational leadership in collaboration with physician leaders of stand-alone or multifaceted clinics.
  • Develop and manage the clinic leadership team to ensure team members are qualified to provide excellent patient care.
  • Identify, develop, and support performance metrics aligned with JCH strategies and goals.
  • Collaborate with leaders to develop department and division initiatives, policies, and procedures focused on employee engagement, financial and business performance, process improvement, patient satisfaction, quality, and workplace safety.
  • Work with division leaders, clinic leaders, and team members to adjust methods and approaches to achieve targets and improve outcomes.
  • Manage team members consistently with JCH mission, policies, and values.
  • Recruit and retain competent team members to meet department operational needs.
  • Oversee daily activities and work processes that result in quality outcomes.
  • Oversee the accuracy of time, attendance, and payroll practices.
  • Manage team-member and provider engagement, clinical quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with leaders to create and execute clinic business strategies aligned with JCH goals and strategies.
  • Formulate forecasts supporting the division's financial goals and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance.
  • Ensure effective plans are in place to meet targets.
  • Partner with physician leads and other team leaders to manage provider and team-member onboarding and development.
  • Develop performance expectations and coach, evaluate, and motivate team members.
  • Investigate complaints and performance concerns.
  • Provide physicians and team members with analysis of scorecards and other appropriate data.
  • Identify improvement opportunities to deliver high-quality clinical and service outcomes.
  • Lead initiatives promoting safety, injury prevention, and an ethical, nondiscriminatory, and safe work environment.
  • Represent JCH within the communities and establish collaborative relationships with community members to enhance clinic awareness.
  • Encourage community involvement through participation in health fairs and events promoting clinic services.
  • Develop, secure approval for, and implement clinic policies and procedures.
  • Delegate authority and responsibility to management team members.
  • Develop improved management techniques and practices.
  • Travel to offsite locations as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Rural health and outpatient clinic experience is preferred.
  • Advanced training and/or experience in medical management, healthcare law, and/or quality improvement is preferred.
