Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • Must hold either a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential from American Medical Technologists or a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential from the American Association of Medical Assistants.
  • Medical office setting experience of 2–4 years is listed as not required.
  • Must maintain required and requested training.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and assist in crisis situations.
  • Must comply with agency policies and procedures.
  • Driving and travel may be required.
Responsibilities
  • Help patients by providing information, services, and assistance.
  • Verify patient information by interviewing patients, recording medical history, and confirming the purpose of the visit, including demographics, insurance coverage, referrals, and prior authorizations.
  • Organize the flow of individuals for appointments, accompany individuals to and from treatment areas, and notify necessary staff of arrivals.
  • Prepare patients for appointments by taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and conduct medication reconciliation.
  • Assist with office procedures to save providers’ time.
  • Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records, completing diagnostic and procedure coding, and keeping patient information confidential.
  • Schedule appointments, verify times with patients, and prepare charts.
  • Respond to verbal and electronic requests for information and assistance using applicable policies, reference tools, and provider instructions.
  • Process prescription refills and direct or instruct individuals and family members regarding prescription and treatment instructions according to provider guidelines and orders.
  • Administer medication injections as ordered in the electronic health record and follow the specific nursing protocol for each injection.
  • Perform urine drug screen testing as ordered in the electronic health record and follow the specific nursing protocol for each test.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards, procedures, and legal regulations.
  • Keep equipment operational by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
  • Serve and protect the practice by following professional standards, facility policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Accept ownership for completing new and different requests and identify opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Complete other relevant responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

Fontana Reports $835.9M Gross Profit Growth

Fontana Limited reported a Q3 2025 gross profit of $835.9 million, a 15.2% increase from the previous year, driven by a 15.3% rise in revenue to $2.2 billion.
