  • Bachelor’s degree in real-estate, finance, economics, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience as a real estate appraiser or five (5) years’ experience in a real estate related industry.
Responsibilities
  • Oversees the commercial appraisal ordering and appraisal review functions.
  • Reviews appraisals completed by others to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations and documents any deficiencies.
  • Communicates with engaged appraisers and resolves any discrepancies that may arise during appraisal reviews.
  • Analyzes market trends, recent sales data, rental rates, and comparable property values.
  • Studies economic conditions and real estate reports to understand the market dynamics.
  • Prepares detailed, accurate valuation reports with a clear explanation of the methods used and the final valuation.
  • Communicates with clients, including property owners, real estate agents, lenders, and legal representatives, to discuss appraisals and provide professional advice.
  • Compiles research in detailed reports.
  • Correctly identifies discrepancies between the property’s description and its actual state.
  • Performs detailed inspections on property to determine value, factoring in dates, quality, and age of property.
  • Examines new construction.
  • Determines physical changes in property due to construction or demolition.
  • Accomplishes department objectives by supervising teams and organizing and monitoring work processes: Successfully applies management competencies in all their work.
  • Assures compliance with all Bank policies, procedures and processes, and all applicable state and federal banking laws, rules, and regulations; adheres to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) responsibilities that are specific to the position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
