Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily supervision of the medical office staff.
  • Serve as the primary contact for the Vice President, Director, or Administrator.
  • Address or escalate patient concerns and praise, including billing and insurance inquiries and patient experience within the designated practice.
  • Schedule front- and back-office staff to meet practice needs in a fiscally responsible manner within budgetary parameters; handle staff call-ins and ensure adequate clinic coverage.
  • Monitor and approve employee timekeeping per budget via KRONOS.
  • Identify and provide development to office staff.
  • Monitor, order, and maintain appropriate supply levels; maintain equipment and oversee building maintenance and repairs.
  • Work with the Quality and Safety Manager to incorporate quality measures and participate in the Patient Safety Net to provide safety protocols for providers, staff, and patients.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis and Performance Improvement projects.
  • Participate in department meetings.
  • Select staff.
  • Actively participate in the corrective action process for assigned direct reports.
  • Provide regular and ongoing staff feedback, including informal feedback, formal coaching sessions, and annual performance appraisals.
  • Serve as an EPIC super-user for ambulatory, cadence, and prelude systems.
  • Collaborate with Quality, EPIC Trainers, and Leadership to develop and implement protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Promote a positive team-oriented culture aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Ensure staff delivers high-quality patient care and experience.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with patients, families, and visitors in a general and professional manner.
  • Provide personal and staff education regarding local, state, and national regulatory compliance and healthcare delivery standards and best practices.
  • Deliver provider needs to the division administrator or designee.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate degree is preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification is preferred.
  • One year of supervisory experience is preferred.
